Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using the Sentient web application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms are established by Sarthak Pramod Karandikar & Kabeer Ahmed Merchant, operating as Existence, based in Pune, India.

You agree not to misuse the Service or help anyone else do so. You agree not to:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Distribute malicious software, spam, or other harmful content.
• Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt any user, host, or network.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Service.

All content, trademarks, branding, and materials within the Service are the property of Existence and are protected by intellectual property laws. The source code for Sentient is licensed under the GNU AGPLv3, as detailed in our LICENSE.txt. You may not use the "Sentient" name or branding without our prior written permission.

While the source code for Sentient is open-source, our official hosted version of the Service may require payment for certain plans or features.

• Billing: We offer subscription plans that are billed on a recurring basis. You agree to pay all applicable fees for the services you select.
• Refunds: Our refund policy is outlined in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Existence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Existence from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service.

The Service integrates with numerous third-party services (e.g., Google, Slack, Notion). Your use of these services through Sentient is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data, content, or practices of these third-party services.

If you choose to self-host Sentient, you are solely responsible for the security, maintenance, and compliance of your own infrastructure, including the data you process and the third-party services you connect to your instance.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in Pune, India.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
